Drinking water system: from the network, approximately 600 households. There is no sewer system.

The entire village has electricity, excepting 90 households that are isolated in the mountains.

There is no natural gas network. The heatting is made with firewood.

 
   



15 saws work in Bistra, 20 BANZIC type wood processing installations, and 15 carpenters are functional in the village. A clothes factory, a slaughter house and 25 shops work in the village

Studiul eleborat de Institutul National de Cercetare – Dezvoltare in Turism (INCDT) concluzioneaza ca marea sansa a zonei (si, deci si a comunei Bistra) consta in dezvoltarea turismului: “Zona este de mare interes turistic, dtorita numeroaselor vestigii si locuri istorice (…) la care se adauga pitorescul viilor Aries si Ampoi si al masivelor montane din jur. (…) De asemenea, arealul face parte din zona etnofolclorica “Tara Motilor”, care pastreaza numeroase elemente de etnografie si folclor cu valoare deosebita pentru turism: arhitectura treditionala, port popular, mestesuguri traditionale, manifestari si obiceiuri traditionale, ansambluri corale, dansuri populare, targuri etc. (…)
Principalele categorii de resurse turistice din zona genereaza si formele de baza ale turismului: turism rural cu valente etnofolclorice, turism cultural, turism industrial, turism montan, speoturism, turism stiintific, turism de tranzit, turism de vanatoare si pescuit sportiv, cicloturism, turism de odihna si recreere, turism de week-end.”
